What is the difference between crocheting and knitting? Crochet is done with a single hook instead of two needles. It leaves only one loop open at a time which reduces the risk of dropped stitches, thus making crochet projects more portable than knitting. On the other hand, all that looping means that crochet uses more yarn than knitting does.
